Cherry Tree Lighting Categories

Cherry Tree Lighting formed in a small wood shop in Boulder, Colorado, when a wood craftsman started forming custom Shoji screens. Using the off-cuts of the Shoji screens to create his own brand of Japanese inspired lighting products, which lent to the "puzzle-like" features of the original products (such as the Mt. Fuji). After five years, the company was bought by Tyler and Julie Williams who apprenticed with the original craftsman to learn the techniques of woodworking. From there, they moved the company to their native Montana where they have continued to expand while still maintaining a strict code of quality and care. Cherry Tree’s guarantee is that all their products are made out of real wood (such as Cherry, walnut, mahogany, and oak) and not stained imitations. While the company still produces Shoji screens, they carry a wide variety of lighting fixtures that are timeless and beautiful. Their new selection of lamps mixes traditional Japanese design with contemporary flair. The Galileo Pendant offers pieces of wood, delicately curved around each other giving the effect of a modern hanging globe pendant one might find made of chrome yet lovingly crafted out of Auburn Birch. Creating a world of fixtures out of geometric shapes, sometimes bending the rules of how wood is supposed to bend and shape, Cherry Tree finds their home in an world of old world elegance.
